Everyone loves a good pizza party. But, if you’re getting tired of the plain old cheese and pepperoni like we are, we have a few fun pizza alternatives for you to enjoy with friends!
First, we have a dessert pizza for those of you with a sweet tooth. Using your Slender Seven healthy and eggless cookie dough, form a giant cookie – or mini pizza – on a greased up pan or cookie sheet. Feel free to use whichever flavor you prefer. If you’re feeling particularly crazy like we were, you can even do half Choco-chick and half Choco-fudge. Pop your pizza in the oven and follow the baking instructions on the container (Bake for 12-15 minutes on 350 degrees). Whenever you think your cookie pizza is cooked through, take it out and let it cool for about 20 minutes. Keep in mind, it won’t completely harden and should still remain gooey and soft. After it’s had time to set, feel free to add whichever toppings you prefer! Nutella, HaloTop, sprinkles, strawberries, etc. We chose to drizzle on some melted dark chocolate chips and almond butter before finishing our masterpiece with banana slices. Once you’ve topped your cookie pizza to perfection, you can cut yourself a slice or just grab a fork and dig in!
If the summer heat is too much for you and even the thought of going near the oven makes you break into a sweat, we also have a refreshing, savory “pizza” alternative – watermelon pizza. This one could not be quicker to put together, but we must say it looks rather impressive on the plate and tastes even better than it looks. Grab yourself a watermelon, slice it up into triangles and arrange them on a plate. Next, grab some feta cheese and add as much or as little as you want. Drizzle your watermelon and feta combo with some balsamic vinegar, add fresh basil and/or mint to taste and voila! You now have a dish that you can serve to guests at a barbecue or enjoy by yourself as a poolside snack.
